Happy Valentine’s Day! Our romantic Valentine’s oyster kit is the perfect way to show your partner they’re the oyster of your eye. Below are two recipes meant to be used with our kit. If you didn’t purchase the kit but still want to try the recipes, don’t worry. We’ve included ingredients lists for each.
Champagne Mignonette
Ingredients:
- 1 shallot, minced
- ½ cup Champagne vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Champagne or sparkling wine
- ½ Tsp. ground black pepper
- White Stone Oysters (Shucked on the half shell or jarred)
Steps:
- Place all ingredients in a small bowl.
- Stir until well mixed.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator.
- Serve chilled, spooned over oysters.
Oysters Crème with Caviar
Ingredients:
- White Stone Oysters (Shucked on the half shell or jarred)
- Crème Fraiche
- Chives
- Lemon Juice
- Caviar
- Black pepper
- Horseradish (optional)
Steps:
- Combine crème fraiche, chives, horseradish and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Stir until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Shuck oysters and place on a platter with rock salt or crushed ice.
- Top each oyster with a ½ tsp. of crème fraiche mixture.
- Add a dollop of caviar.
- Chill in fridge or serve immediately with lemon.
