FAQ
Q: Can I place my order in advance?
A: Yes. As you complete your order there is a delivery date option. If you have an event we recommend a delivery date of one or two days prior to the event.
Q: Do you offer weekend delivery?
A: Unfortunately, due to Fed-Ex constraints we cannot offer weekend delivery.
Q: When should I request delivery for a weekend event?
A: We recommend Thursday or Friday delivery for weekend events.
Q: Do I need to sign for the delivery?
A: No, you do not need to sign for the delivery.
Q: How long will the oysters stay fresh?
A: Oysters need to remain under 45 degrees to stay fresh so we ship our oysters in gel-packs that help this living animal stay cool throughout its journey. Once you receive the oysters place them in a cool environment, such as the refrigerator or a cooler with ice. As long as they remain cool you can expect them to stay fresh for up to two weeks.
Q: How will I know if an oyster is no longer fresh?
A: When an oyster "expires" the shell will start to open. Before consumption make sure the shell is closed tight!
Q: What happens if I do not put them in a cool environment right away?
A: As mentioned we ship the oysters in gel-packs that help the oyster stay at the right temperature. Depending upon the weather, the oysters should remain at temperature for a few hours. In the colder months they will remain at temperature longer.
Q: Do you sell shucked oysters?
A: Sorry, but no. We believe that our oysters are best when eaten freshly shucked!
